PGA DFS Value Picks: The Masters

The prestige of Augusta National brings an entirely different game theory into play since course history and experience essentially eliminate a voluminous amount of compelling cheap value below $7,000 on DraftKings (and $8,000 on FanDuel). We are not interested in bargains who can make the cut so much as we are those who can compete into the weekend. For more tournament content, check out our BetSperts Golf DFS Show, The Masters Projections, Ryan Noonan’s Betting Card, and Ron Klos’ Tournament Breakdown.

The following names are listed in order of importance and will be updated through Thursday morning:

Corey Conners ($7600 DraftKings, $9300 FanDuel)

Conners will arguably be the highest-rostered player in any contest given his egregious salary on DraftKings in particular. Although we usually suggest fading any golfer who’s rostered in over 25% of lineups due to the volatility of the sport, Masters weekend calls for an entirely different approach since there are theoretically only 60 participants (and that’s being generous) whom we should take seriously at the hallowed grounds of Augusta. We would rather be overweight on Conners rather than fading him for game theory purposes. There are more than enough opportunities to get contrarian elsewhere.
