You’re probably familiar with Daily Fantasy Sports, a weekly salary-based competition allowing users to draft from an eligible pool of players from a defined slate of games for immediate payouts, if interested in Reignmakers contests. And much like DraftKings DFS contests, DFS Reignmakers contests entail weekly competition against other users receiving fantasy points based on the performance of their golfers.
The difference is Reignmakers being a DFS game in the form of digital trading cards or Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) exclusive to the player rather than drafting with the restrictions of a salary cap from a universal pool of names. In fact, DraftKings has created several ways to collect and enter these cards, ranging from free contests to high-stakes options.
You’ll need at least five player cards to build a lineup in any contests (more on this below), and there are numerous ways to begin claiming your set of cards:
A one-time gift offered to every new player, users can log in RIGHT NOW and claim their free eight-card Starter Set that can be entered immediately into any Starter contests. Best of all, Starter contests require all five player cards in a lineup to be from DraftKings’ Starter Set, ensuring no beginner is priced out or at a disadvantage to rarer (and thus pricier) cards.
New drops take place throughout the PGA season on the DraftKings Marketplace including this week’s Approach set ahead of any Masters contests. All drops will include the number of available packs (#/XXXX) under each respective selection.
Didn’t draw that particular golfer you were hoping to lock into your lineup(s)? Just head to the PGA Tour Shop to sort through every individual player and tier available for purchase.

A selectable tab in the Shop, Auctions for all Reignmakers tier cards (1 of 1 editions) begin on the listed date and are eventually collected by the highest bidder; near the end of each auction, any bids placed in the allotted “extension window” will extend the duration of the auction by the extension window. The “extension window” also resets when new bids are placed. Once the auction ends, the top bidder will receive that card.
For each golfer, there are five different rarity tiers of cards. In order of least to most scarce, those tiers are:
Unlike the weekly PGA DFS tournaments players have become accustomed to over time, Reignmakers Classic contests include a Captain and four additional golfers to complete any lineup. Any golfers from your collection may only be drafted once per entry and are then locked into that particular lineup and removed from your pool, preventing that same card being duplicated in that contest and any other contests (Showdown included) for that weekend. Individual player cards will only unlock and become usable again once that contest ends.

The golfer rostered in the Captain position will also score 1.5X fantasy points.
Showdown contests are currently created and played over the final round of a tournament. Similar to Classic contests, Showdown contests include a Captain and four additional golfers to complete any lineup, the Captain position accruing 1.5X more fantasy points than any other slot.
No. Reignmakers fantasy contests are free to join, provided you own enough cards to complete a lineup in a given contest.
So what are you waiting for? See you in the lobby!
