Andy Molitor takes the Bermuda Championship in both views, with a 28.08 MAE overall and 31.19 among the top 20 finishers. Overall was a three-way photo finish. Ryan Noonan was 0.21 back at 28.29, Ron Klos was 0.38 back at 28.46, and Pat Mayo was fourth at 32.45. The top-20 view wasn’t close. Andy beat Ron (35.56) and Noonan (35.69) by more than four spots, and Mayo trailed at 51.81.
Mayo still made the call of the week. He had Seamus Power 1st, and Power lost a three-hole playoff to Austin Smotherman on Monday. Noonan and Ron both had Power 6th. Andy’s edge came from two guys he was higher on than anyone. He had Smotherman 16th, the highest of the four (Noonan 19th, Ron 37th, Mayo 83rd), and he had Greyson Sigg 2nd when no one else had him better than 61st. Sigg tied for 11th. Ron filled the calls box with mid-tier hits, seven of the 12 that qualified. The best was Corey Conners 2nd for a T3 when the other three had him 8th or worse, and he also landed Luke Clanton 15th (T11) and Denny McCarthy 11th (T15).
Most of the damage came from the back half of the board. Nobody had Danny Walker (T6) or Cam Davis (T11) better than 75th, and Chandler Blanchet tied for 6th from 81st on the consensus board. The priciest miss was the chalk. Ben James was 1st for Andy, Noonan, and Ron, 10th for Mayo, and he missed the cut. Kevin Yu (7th on the board), John Parry (15th), and Patrick Fishburn (16th) went home early too, and Kevin Roy slid from 6th on the board to a T64. Even so, the average of all four rankings (26.36) beat every individual ranker overall, so the consensus did its job.
