FINALLY, Will Zalatoris is a winner on the PGA Tour. After so many close calls in majors and other tournaments over the last few years, Zalatoris was finally able to seal the deal this weekend at TPC Southwind in the opening tournament of the FedEx Cup playoffs. The Betsperts Golf crew has been on Zalatoris all season, and their outright faith finally paid off as Andy, Ron, and Noonan all cashed Zalatoris tickets and had themselves big weekends. Noonan finished the St. Jude +8.54 units, Andy finished it +14.52 units, and Ron came away with an astounding +26.57 units for the week. The trio is now a combined +103.91 units for the 2022 season. If you haven’t signed up for Betperts Golf, there’s still time! It’s just $1 a month for the rest of the season, so give it a try today!
The win for Zalatoris (+2600 outright on FanDuel) couldn’t come easy. It took a playoff with Sepp Straka and a wild one at that for Zalatoris to take home his first win. After some clutch putting from both Zalatoris and Straka, things ended on the 3rd playoff hole, the par 3 11th. Straka went in the water, Zalatoris wedged in between the grass and the rock wall bordering the green. Both players took drops, and Zalatoris stuck it to a few feet and made the putt. It was an amazingly fun Sunday and tournament to kick off the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Not only did Zalatoris cash that outright bet, but he nailed his Top 5 (+550), Top 10 (+230), and Top 20 (+105) odds.
