Best Bets: The RBC Heritage

Our BetSperts Golf staff has combed through the projections and available lines to identify our favorite bets for The RBC Heritage. These are our Best Bets for the weekend.

Matthew Fitzpatrick Top 20 (+120)

Ryan Noonan: Fitzpatrick is one of the most improved golfers on Tour in 2022, an impressive feat considering he ranked inside the top 30 in the world to start the year. In 2020, Fitzpatrick gained a combined 0.15 strokes per round on approach and around the greens. In 2021, he gained 0.11 strokes combined. So far in 2022, Fitzpatrick is gaining 1.07 strokes per round, and it’s propelled him to the first page of the leaderboard nearly every time out. The weather wave at The PLAYERS was not kind to him, but outside of that start, Fitz has finished no worse than T18 in his past eight starts. He loves these greens and has finished T14 or better in three of his past four starts at Harbour Town. Another viable outright play that’s a steal +120 on PointsBet to T20.

Joaquin Niemann Top 20 (+175)

Andy Molitor: Another young golfer who has a win this season after coming very close quite a few times over the past couple of seasons (I’m not going to count his win at the fall edition of the Greenbrier, that was essentially an alt event at that point). Not a bad putter when he’s not on the West Coast Poa, these greens should be to his liking as I think they will roll pretty pure with the overseeded Bermuda. Just a guy who’s checking the boxes for me this week of ball striking and green finding without relying on his (ample) driving distance to carry him.

Daniel Berger Top 20 (+145)

Ron Klos: Berger is one of the best tee-to-green players in the field. Finishing third overall in my model, he is an excellent shot-shaper, which is a necessary skill here. He is perhaps the most accurate player off-the-tee and has proclaimed his love for this course. His lower ball flight is an added bonus in coastal winds typically seen here. He has finished 3rd and 13th in his last two appearances here. Getting him at plus money for a Top-20 is a steal.
