2026 World Wide Technology Championship Weather: Breezy Start, Calmer Weekend

World Wide Technology Championship Weather Forecast

Wind!

Forecast models show a northwest breeze building to 14 to 17 mph at El Cardonal on Thursday and Friday, with gusts near 30 in the afternoon, and both days look dry, with highs in the low to mid 80s. That matters on a course that has handed out winning scores between 24 and 29 under in all three years it has hosted. Ben Griffin‘s 29 under last year is the tournament record.

The weekend backs off slightly. Saturday still carries a breeze, 7 to 12 mph in the morning and up to 14 after lunch, with about a 20 percent chance of a stray shower. Sunday is the calmest day of the week, single digits all day, but the wind swings around to the south, and the shower chance climbs to about 30 percent. The wettest model has it at 50 percent. A delay is possible but not likely.  I would expect that we get all 72 holes in for the second straight week!

Betting and DFS Outlook

For betting and DFS, the tee-time draw is a wash. The morning groups run about 4 mph calmer than the afternoon on both Thursday and Friday, so whichever half a player lands in, he gets one gentle round and one breezy one. Nobody gets the good side twice, and there’s no wave worth stacking for the full tournament.

Probably a decent lean on the morning guys for FRL bets and any sort of round 1 positional wagers.

Forecast as of the morning of November 3.
