2026 Mexico Open Weather Forecast: Heat, Light Wind, and a Thursday Storm Chance

Mexico Open Weather Forecast

Don’t count on the weather to defend Vidanta Vallarta this week. Every round of the VidantaWorld Mexico Open looks hot, with highs of 88 to 90 degrees and feels-like numbers in the upper 90s, and the morning wind barely shows up. The forecast models have it at 8 mph or less before 1 p.m. all four days. Afternoons bring a light sea breeze, mostly 8 or 9 mph with gusts near 20, enough to change a club here and there but not enough to scare anybody. The one real question is Thursday afternoon. There’s about a 1-in-4 chance of a storm after lunch, and the most aggressive model has it at 51 percent. A different model pushes the breeze to 15 to 17 mph late in the day, while the rest top out at 11 or less, so treat that as the ceiling, not the expectation.

For betting and DFS, the tee-time draw is close to a wash, with a small lean to the Thursday-morning side. Those players get the calmer, drier half of the opening round and come back Friday afternoon, when the wind stays at 8 mph or less and the shower chance drops to about 14 percent. The afternoon starters in Round 1 catch the breeze and the storm risk first, and if a cell does pop up, a stoppage is the one thing that could actually split the field. It’s not big enough to bet on by itself, but it’s a fine tiebreaker when two players grade out close. The weekend looks dry, with rain chances of 2 percent or less and calm mornings again, so I expect the winning score to go low. Lean on players who can run off birdies in bunches.

Forecast as of the morning of October 28.
