BOMBS
Mayo and Keith Stewart from Read The Line to break down everything you need to know for the PGA Tour’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course. They dive deep into the unique weather conditions, windy forecasts, course history, and the key statistical models—including apex height and low-ball flight metrics—needed to find the ultimate winner.
Truthfully, the play may actually be: Wait out the first two days, then back a couple long-shots who squeeze through the cut line and pray for chaos in the wreckage that appears to be heading towards the course Saturday and Sunday.

Seamus Power — With distance taken out of the equation at Port Royal, it’s up to a wedges-and-putting combo with the ability to navigate the wind gusts off the coast. Over the past six months, no player has gained more strokes per round with the flat stick than Power, while only one player has consistently hit it inside 15 feet from 100–150 yards more than the Irishman (Lucas Glover).
Miles Russell — There may not be a more overvalued player on the board, but it’s the silly season, so I wanna gamble on the talent of the 17-year-old (potential) phenom.
Haotong Li — Li fell off a cliff after making a 10 at No. 13 in the final round of the Masters. He missed nine of his next 12 cuts and generated no finish better than T35 in the three where he did see the weekend. After the regular season ended, he went back to play in Europe and found part of his game. Between the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour Fall Series, Li’s posted three Top 20 finishes in his past four starts and always seems to enjoy himself a gusty, coastal course.
Lucas Glover — Glover has the same profile as Power but without the putting. He hits it low and flights his wedges excellently, meaning he should be able to navigate the wind. Just pray he gets his yearly spike on the greens right now, and with his past two wins coming on Bermudagrass, it’s at least plausible.
Peter Malnati — Nothing Port Royal enjoys more than rewarding a good-putting American veteran.
Mason Howell & Marcelo Rozo — I’m just having fun over here.
