2022 The Memorial Tournament Betting Recap

The Memorial at Jack’s place has come and gone and a new, relatively drama-free champion was crowned. Billy Horschel took home a 4-shot win highlighted by a Round 2 68 and a Round 3 65 to separate himself from the field. Horschel took a 4-shot lead into Sunday’s final round and cruised with an even par 72 to keep his distance from the field. It’s Horschel’s first win of the 2022 season. Horchel was +6600  at the beginning of the week on FanDuel. He also cashed his Top 5 market at +1200, Top 10 market at +650, and Top 20 market at +350.

  • The favorite headed into the Memorial was Jon Rahm (+1200). Rahm had a massive lead at last year’s tournament before having to WD due to a positive COVID test. Rahm was just -1 for the tournament headed into Sunday, but a final round 3-under 69 vaulted him into a Top 10 finish. Rahm’s Top 10 odds were +280, and Top 20 odds were +177.
  • Will Zalatoris has had a pretty interesting stretch over the last few weeks. Following his 6th place finish at The Masters, Zalatoris has gone T4, Missed Cut, 2nd, Missed Cut, T5. So maybe a flier on a Zalatoris missed cut ticket might be worth a shot his next time out. Zalatoris used a 2-under 70 on Sunday to get himself into the Top 5. Zalatoris was +750 to finish in the Top 5 with finished in a dead heat. He fully cashed his Top 10 (+410) and Top 20 (+230) tickets. Zalatoris entered the tournament with +3600 outright odds.
