2022 RBC Heritage Betting Card Preview

With the world’s best golfers already in the area after last week’s Masters, 25 of the world’s top 50 are making the short coastal drive from Augusta, Georgia to Hilton Head, South Carolina, and Harbour Town Golf Links, one of the many Pete Dye-design tracks on Tour.

The past two iterations saw little to no wind, hence record-low scoring, but that’s not common at coastal courses like this. What is common at a Pete Dye course? Narrow sightlines when you’re standing on the tee box. Forced layups to minimize distance and reward accuracy. Difficult to hit greens that are often smaller than your average Tour stop.

The player archetype for success this week starts with elite approach play, and the winner will either putt lights out or scramble their proverbial ass off all week. Probably both. Don’t rule out a longshot winner this week even though the field is top-heavy. Four of the last five winners were 80/1 or longer heading into the week.
