With both Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy holding two of the top five spots on the leaderboard, it is not likely another golfer will outperform both of them to win the CJ Cup. Right now, one of the two is predicted to win this event at around 55-60%. If you desire, however, to throw a sprinkle on some outsiders. My top three choices would be Tom Kim (+2500), Shane Lowry (+3000) and Tom Hoge (+5000). My reasoning for each of these is simple. Each is within four shots of the lead. Each has been positive ball-striking, and at the same time, has underperformed on the greens by putting below their bermudagrass baseline. Also, each has excellent “Moving Day” strokes gained averages, so look for each to make a run tomorrow.
